The depository will then reach out to you directly to confirm your appointment and make sure all the necessary documents (like ID) are ready to go.
When the day arrives, simply make the trip to the depository and enjoy the unique experience of seeing your investment in person.
What to Expect on Your Tour
Depositories are all about security, so expect to go through a few checkpoints like metal detectors and ID verification. Once that’s done, you’ll be shown to a private room while staff retrieves your precious metals from the vault. It’s a no-frills experience—your metals might come out in basic containers like plastic bins or boxes—but the thrill is in knowing everything is secure and exactly as it should be.
You’ll have a chance to inspect your metals, take some photos, and even do your own inventory check to confirm that everything is accounted for. Afterward, the staff will pack up your metals and return them to the vault, and you’ll be escorted back out.
